Instruction for Authors

 

1. Authorship Ethical Issues

· The policies on the research and publication ethics are based on the Research Ethics Rules of the Korean Family Welfare Association.
· For the policies on the research and publication ethics not stated in this instructions, international standards for editors and authors can be applied.

· All submitted manuscripts will be checked by plagiarism screening service(crosscheck).
· When faced with cases of suspected misconduct, The Flowcharts will be followed. The flowcharts are designed to help editors follow COPE's Code of Conduct and implement its advice When faced with cases of suspected misconduct.

2. Publication Type

It accepts original papers of research articles in the field of family welfare, family counseling, family resource, child development, family studies, and human services.

3. Peer Review

All manuscripts will be treated as confidential and will be critically read by at least two anonymous reviewers, selected by the editor chief and editors. Scholars with expertise in the subject matter will evaluate the manuscript for validity of the research design and results, originality, significance, and appropriateness to the journal. The corresponding author is notified as soon as possible of the editor's decision to accept, reject, or request minor or major revision of manuscripts. The editor will consider the revisions, and recommend to the editor-in-chief either to accept or reject the revised manuscript. The author will then be informed by the editor-in-chief of the final decision. When the final revised manuscript is completely acceptable according to the The Korean Journal of Family Welfare format and criteria, it is scheduled for publication in the next available issue.

4. Article Processing Charge

70,000 won should be paid at the time of submission. When the paper is reexamined, extra 20,000 won per one paper should be charged.

The article publishing fees shall be imposed depending on the number of pages to be printed. Up to 15 pages shall be 200,000 won, and then whenever one page is added, the fee shall be increased by 20,000 won. Extra charge of 200,000 won should be paid when the research has been funded.

5. Copyright Policy(Copyright Transfer form)

All copyright and other intellectual property rights related to the content of the journal are licensed to Korean Family Welfare Association. Hence, a completed 'Copyright Transfer Agreement' form should accompany any original material when first submitted to KFWA. 'Copyright Transfer Agreement' can be found at www.jofw.net

8. Author Guidelines

1) As a qualification for a submission, all authors shall be a member of the Korean Family Welfare Association, and an author should apply one paper in a issue.
2) Korean Journal of family welfare is published quarterly in March, June, September, and December each year. Papers are received any time.
3) Any inquiries for submission should be sent to office via an e-mail. In addition, a signed 'Author's Check list' and 'Copyright Transfer Agreement' should be mailed to the Editor.
