The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships between parenting beliefs,expectations and parenting intelligence between fathers and mothers. The subjects of this studywere fathers and mothers who have children under the age of 6. 124 couples were used in the finalanalysis. The results are as follows. First, regarding differences in parents' parenting beliefs,expectations and parenting intelligence according to the socio-demographic background of thefamily, fathers have higher expectations for their sons than for their daughters when the academiclevel of the father is higher, and the mother's parenting beliefs reflect their attitudes towardcharacter, maturation and totalitarianism. Also when the academic level of fathers is lower, themothers' parenting beliefs emphasize intellectual achievement, a proper environment, andindividualism. In addition, younger mothers are associated with fathers' parenting beliefs thatemphasize intellectual achievement, a proper environment, and individualism. There was also aconsistent correlation between fathers and mothers in terms of their parenting beliefs, expectations,and parenting intelligence in general.
