This study aims to explore the professional thinking experienced by 1366 counselors in theprocess of training to provide support for the victims of domestic violence or intimate partnerviolence. In this regard, this study established the study subject of the professional thinkingexperienced by 1366 counselors in the process of training to provide support for the victims ofdomestic violence or intimate partner violence, and analyzed the data through an autoethnographicalresearch approach. In addition, in-depth interview was conducted with 9 counselors at 1366Gyeongnam Center of Women’s Emergency Call who are licensed social worker. The results showedthat the experiences of the participants could be categorized into eight main categories, each ofwhich consisted of three stage levels. Based on the results shown from the study, institutional andpractical implications were discussed.
